My "To Read" list

So, lately whenever I see a book that looks interesting, I'll add it to my list of books to read. This is great for me and I'm glad I have it at the moment because I just finished the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series (loved it!) and am in desperate need of new reading material. So here are some books on my current "To Read" list.

Week Review

Hey everybody! Wow! Long time no post huh? Well, it's been a busy week. Last week was spirit week at my school. Monday was hats and shades day, Tuesday was sports day, Wednesday was pajama day, Thursday was crazy hair day, and Friday was the day we all celebrated Valentine's Day. Also, there was a basketball game versus the school faculty. I have been busy covering both for yearbook. One of my teachers does the same thing every year with his class for Valentine's Day. The same embarrassing thing. So what he does is, he has all the girls write down specific complements for some of the guys and he has the guys each write a love poem. (The girls' assignment is much easier.) Then after everyone is done, he reads the complements and poems out loud without saying the person's name. The girls then vote on which is the best and the guy who wrote it become Mr. Romance for the year. It was hilarious! Sometimes it was pretty obvious who wrote which because their face was extremely red. One guy wrote one with a bunch of plant references like "You are as strong as a stem and as fragile as a pod." Another guy just wrote down a Justin Bieber song. It was pretty funny watching the other girls too. I'm not much for mushy, lovey, stuff so me and one of my friends were the only ones not going "Awww!" or "That is the sweetest thing ever!" But I guess it was kinda sweet and no one could have guessed who became Mr. Romance. I hope you all had a nice week! Ciao for now reader!

Disney Challenge Day 24

Day 24: Favorite Parent

Lots of the Disney parents are dead or die during the movie. Here are two of my favorites that survived the movie.

King Fergus (Brave)

He is a great father to his kids, has a great sense if humor, is laid back but not too laid back, and wants what is best for his children.

Grandma Fa (Mulan)

If grandmothers count, she is definately my favorite. She's sassy, loving, and cares very much for Mulan.

Disney Challenge Day 23

Day 23: Favorite Dance

Not many of the newer Disney movies have dances but my favorite dance of all time is the dance in the town in Tangled.

Even though it is not just between the prince and the princess, it's such a fun, cheerful, dance when everybody just comes together and forgets their troubles and has a great time. It would be so much fun to be there. *sigh* 

Disney Challenge Day 22

Day 22: Bravest Princess

Let's get down to business (to defeat the Huns!) Heh heh, sorry:) But seriously folks. I think it is kinda obvious who the bravest princess is. Mushu! Just kidding, it's totally Mulan.

Hmmmmm? What did she do that was brave? Oh yeah, save China! You gotta have guts to do that! 

She keeps her cool under preassure and looks for alternative ways to get the task done.

She is willing to risk her life to save others.

You know, they are saying that Frozen is the first Disney princess movie to tell girls that they don't need a man. But I think many Disney movies already say that and Mulan practically screams it. I mean Mulan does end up with Shang but if it weren't for her, the Huns would have taken over China.

Comment: Do you agree/disagree about Frozen being the first Disney primcess movie teaching girls that they don't need a man and why.
